At AFDY, we feel it is important for us to work on projects in our local community.

Below is a list of events and projects we've worked on in collaboration with various groups and organisations:

• 21st June 2012. Fête de la Musique. Kennedy's bar, York.
• 23rd June 2012. Concert in York at Askham Bryan for the National Trust.
•12 May 2012: Film Clements Hall. French evening with Film, quiz and prizes. Bar and nibbles.
• 5 May 2012. Fête Champêtre with YUMI (York Unifying Multicultural Initiative), York.
• December 2011. Christmas Concert at Ouse Lea.
• October 2011. Four-day visit to Nantes .
• October 2011. Meeting with French Families Club based in York.
• October 2011, York Minster. Special ceremony to celebrate the two French Squadrons based in Elvington Airfield during WW2.
• 14th July 2011. Picnic to celebrate Bastille Day at Hutton-le-Hole Museum. Bal folk and French day for visitors the following week-end.
• July 2011. Bal Musette at St Peter's School to celebrate 'Bastille Day'. Event open to the public.
