A FULL DAY OF ACTIVITIES IN FRENCH

We are keen to offer various ways of practising the French language. We think it is important to make it as much 'fun' as we can.

This is the idea behind 'French Day' which includes 3 fun and interactive workshops.

Imagine coming to spend a day cooking, making up role-plays, watching a short film and talking about it!
And in between, you will enjoy a French buffet lunch to share with new friends.
The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at about 5pm.

Each group caters for a maximum of 10 people, all with the similar level of French...Sorry but this is not suitable for beginners! Each session lasts about 90 minutes. You will be moving from one session to the other, thus experiencing all sorts of emotions, and opportunities to learn the language, exchange ideas and enjoy good company in a very friendly and informal atmosphere.

Drama
Playing with words, tongue twisters, role plays, making up stories in French, acting them out...

Cooking
Watching the tutor make a typically French dish with fresh local vegetables and ingredients. Following the recipe in French and making it yourself. Talking and learning about French cooking. Exchanging recipes...and then taking your dish home for dinner.

Film
A fun and interactive French session. First watching a short film, 'un Court métrage'...then learning, practising French through various short activities using the theme, the characters, the music, the story, the dialogue in the film. We finish with a debate/discussion, sharing views and impressions.
