Trustees

To support the strategic leadership of the Alliance Française de York, we are looking for new trustees to join our board. If you enjoy visiting France and/or other French-speaking areas, or have a keen interest in French language and culture, we would love to hear from you.

How to apply

 

Applications are invited in the form of a brief statement of no more than 250 words, e-mailed to us by 28th May 2025, explaining: 

         – Your interest in France or other French-speaking areas, French language and 

            culture

        – What skills and experience you can bring to our board

 

Please send it by e-mail to our Chair, Mark Egan, marksanddancer@googlemail.com. If you do not know any trustees or members who can nominate you, you will be put in touch with two members who will decide, after talking to you, whether to nominate you tostand as a trustee.

 

We aim to have nominations of new trustees completed for confirmation at our mid-June AGM.

Enseignants

Nous sommes à la recherche de professeurs de français francophones basés dans la région de York.

 

Nous ne prendrons en considération que les candidatures qui réunissent les points suivants :

  • Avoir le français comme langue maternelle ou d'un niveau C1/C2

  • Avoir une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais

  • Avoir un diplôme dans l'enseignement (FLE, DAEFLE, MEEF, PGCE)

  • Vivre au Royaume-Uni (de préférence dans la région de York)

  • Être légalement autorisé/e à travailler au Royaume-Uni

Notes

  • La demande étant irrégulière, nous ne pouvons pas vous promettre un nombre d'heures minimum

  • Les cours ont majoritairement lieu en soirée, mais nous en proposons également en journée

  • Lorsque vous acceptez un cours (1-2-1 ou de groupe), vous vous engagez pour toute la durée de la session

L'AFDY n'est, pour le moment, pas en mesure d'accueillir des stagiaires.
